Welcome to PFA
The Pelagic Freezer-trawler Association (PFA) represents the interests of 9 European pelagic freezer-trawler companies on an international  level. At present, the association has members in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Lithuania and the Netherlands, all operating freezer-trawlers that catch and process pelagic fish for human consumption.
Our basic aim is a sustainable fishing industry, now and in the future.
The food supply of frozen pelagic fish to people all over the world must be in balance with the harvesting of the pelagic fish stocks.  To this end, the members of the PFA have established a joint policy in which cooperation and the transfer of knowledge on sustainable fisheries play a central role.
